A. The computer cannot find a valid system folder. This is typically the result of damaged system resources. Boot from your system CD and run Disk First Aid on the boot drive. This could also indicate a more serious problem like a hard drive failure. Please call us if you have trouble getting the drive operational using Disk First Aid.
A. There are several things that may cause this type of delay, but if you are on a network, there is a good chance that computer is trying to automount a network volume which is not available. To fix this problem, go into the System folder and look for the Servers folder. Delete any items inside the servers folder. While in the Systems folder, go into the preferences folder and dump the "AppleShare Prep" file. Restart your machine and see if the delay is gone. If not, then contact us for further troubleshooting.
